Free niche-finding method
- Outlier hunt: YouTube search any topic, filter "This month", sort "View count". Open channels under 10K subs with videos at 10x or more their sub count. That ratio means the algorithm pushes the niche, not the channel.
- Confirm growth: Google Trends, YouTube Search filter, 12 months. Rising line = go. Flat or declining = skip.
- Check room: search 5 core keywords. Top results all mega-channels = saturated. Mix of small channels = open door.
- Pick a micro-niche: narrow angle inside the winner. Expand at 10K subs.
